Three years ago, it was reported that a vegetarian pizzeria in New York was expanding to Boston. Now we know that the restaurant is open.

According to the press release, Double Zero is now open in Back Bay, moving into a space on Newbury Street between Dartmouth Street and Exeter Street. As suggested by a previous article, the restaurant’s new location features wood-fired pizzas using nut cheese, while the menu also offers vegetarian versions of eggplant parmesan, grilled meatballs, spaghetti bolognese, and cacio e pepe. Provide wine.

Double Zero started in Manhattan’s East Village, and Matthew Kenney, who was twice nominated for the James Beard Award, was behind the company.

Double Zero’s new address in Back Bay is 163 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116. Its webpage is available at https://www.matthewkenneycuisine.com/double-zero-boston
