A new restaurant and bar is on its way to a development project in the southwestern suburbs. The person behind it was once the head of a high-end steakhouse chain.

According to a press release, Liberty & MAIN will open at Legacy Place in Dedham. This place is a new American bistro that will include an “interactive bar” and an outdoor terrace. It will be run by Michael Figley. Before leaving the group last year, he had been the CEO and President of Smith & Wollensky. In addition to offering American bistro food, Liberty & MAIN will also have a full bar, and they are working with Norwood-based Castle Island Brewery, which will produce an iconic beer for a place called Liberty Draft.

If all goes well, Liberty & MAIN will open sometime this summer.
