Hakim Denmark participates in the 2020 Sepang International Circuit MAM Speedweek MiniGP

The up-and-coming Malaysian racing driver 14-year-old Hakim Denmark rides under the umbrella of the SIC Racing Team and has won consecutive Coppa Italia youth competitions MiniGP Championship In Pomposa, Italy. Hakim set the fastest lap in qualifying, winning the first and second races on the weekend of September 4th and 5th, the final round of the championship.

Participating in the OhVale 190 GP-2 Junior group, Hakim’s entry into the GP2 Expert Pro group is based on his current participation in the Honda European Talent Cup (ETC) in the 2022 FIM CEV Championship. The MiniGP racing category is a budget-friendly racing category that allows young racers from 10 to 14 years old to experience Grand Prix-style racing, but use cars with less than 200 cc at lower speeds on smaller tracks.

In the weekend race, Hakim confronted six other racing drivers from Europe on the 1.552km track. In his first European race with the Liqui Moly Intact SIC Racing Team, Hakim was recognized as a potential racer by Intact team manager Dirk Reissman. He praised the Terengganu boys’ fighting ability on the field, rising from 30th to Won the 12th place in a game this season.
