MRT Corporation announced today that MRT Putrajaya Line Phase I The market will open in November 2021. The original target was August, so it was postponed for three months. This revision is due to the extension of the trial operation period by MCO 3.0 and the current EMCO.

The company stated that the construction of the entire MRT Putrajaya Line is progressing smoothly and 90% has been completed. For the first phase between the Kwasa Damansara and Kampung Batu stations, which was scheduled to start in August, its utilization rate was 99%. At present, the trial operation that started on April 29 is underway on this section of the road.

MRT CEO Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim said that in order to ensure the required level of capacity, the company decided to extend the trial operation period. The original training plan was affected by MCO 3.0 and EMCO for parts of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

In addition, the new opening date is set for the fourth phase of the national recovery plan-when the country’s economy is expected to be fully open, a press conference can be held at that time.
