According to ACO Tech, the Proton X50 will soon get the Atlas infotainment operating system. At the official launch of Atlas OS today, a Proton X50 with Atlas OS was shown.

First released for the Proton Iriz and Persona B-Class hatchbacks and sedans, the 2022 iteration of Atlas OS brings more than 300 improvements, as well as a more approachable user interface. As of today, there are more than 10,000 Atlas-equipped vehicles, including Iriz and Persona.

Users of the new system will see a new multi-display home screen with widgets that can be customized like a smartphone. Updates to the operating system include improved voice recognition and emergency notification features, as well as an improved navigation system with real-time traffic and lane guidance.

On the X50 Demonstrator, in addition to phone mirroring and vehicle status displays, Atlas OS offers a range of themes, wallpapers and screensavers – just like on a smartphone. In its initial announcement last year, entertainment was provided by Joox, an online music streaming service, and Astro’s Syok platform.

Atlas OS now runs on Android 10 and integrates a digital voice assistant, real-time traffic navigation, personalization features, and the A-Store online store for apps, content and packages. Li Pu, CEO of ACO Tech, announced today that it is joining the Atlas digital ecosystem as a global partner for audio streaming; this is likely to be the addition of Spotify.

At today’s Atlas OS launch event, ACO Tech also announced strategic partnerships with various parties including UOB Malaysia, Five Petronas Malaysia (Five) and Fass Payment Solutions (Fasspay).

The joint venture aims to combine in-vehicle connectivity services and an existing ecosystem of business partners into a single platform where Atlas Pay, powered by Fasspay, will enable its users to securely pay without leaving the vehicle. payments and transactions.

In partnership with UOB Malaysia and Fasspay, ACO Tech will implement a car-based digital wallet system and in-vehicle payment system, which will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.

In addition, ACO Tech has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand its alliance with Huawei Technologies Malaysia to continue to develop HUAWEI CLOUD-based cloud-based solutions for regional markets. The company said this is to enable both parties to accelerate innovation in big data and artificial intelligence software to further drive the adoption of smart technologies.
