Some 33,400 micro-enterprises with between 3 and 9 workers have submitted applications to access the Digital Kit in the first two weeks from the opening of the period for the second call for these grants aimed at digitization, according to data from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. which Europa Press has had access.
The digital-kit It is financed with the ‘Next Generation EU’ funds. Companies with less than 50 workers and the self-employed will be able to request these ‘digital vouchers’, which range between 2,000, 6,000 or 12,000 euros, depending on the characteristics of the company to contract the digitization of their businesses.
The first call for aid, launched last March for SMEs with between 10 and 49 employees (segment I) –for a maximum amount of up to 12,000 euros–, has received some 70,000 applications from companies and there are already more than 35,000 bonuses assigned, as reported by the First Vice President and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño.
In the aforementioned second call for companies with between 3 and 9 employees, some 33,400 applications have already been registered. With an awarded amount of up to 6,000 euros, companies will be able to contract services to create web pages, cybersecurity services, process management or social networks. Likewise, new categories have been incorporated, such as advanced web positioning (SEO).
The Government’s intention is to open before the end of the year the third and last call aimed at micro-SMEs and the self-employed –with an amount of up to 2,000 euros per company–, which is expected to be the most demanding from the point of view of administrative management.
With a budget of up to 3,067 million euros, this program is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the Digital Spain 2025 agenda and the 2021-2025 SME Digitization Plan.
More than 9,100 digitizing agents
Currently, the catalog of digitizing agents is made up of more than 9,100 adhered digitizing agents, although the membership period will remain open throughout the duration of the Program, so the catalog will be expanded as applications are resolved.
These digitizing agents are the only ones authorized to sign ‘digitization solutions provision agreements’ with the beneficiary companies of the aid of the Digital Kit program and holders of the digital voucher, and they may collaborate in the aid application process by also being voluntary representatives , as well as in the control actions that derive from them.
In addition, they will be the ones who present all the supporting documentation and who receive the payment of the digital voucher assigned by the beneficiary, once their justification has been accepted.
