This fall, a takeaway shop in the northern suburbs, known for its Italian and American cuisine, will move into its new home, and it will no longer be just a takeaway shop.

According to sources, Redding’s Green Tomato has found a new space and will move from its current home a few hundred feet east of the main street to Gould Street, where it will have a new storefront with seats. The pictures sent to us indicate that the dining venue will also offer Mediterranean cuisine, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.

The Green Tomato first opened in 2003 and offers products such as chicken masala, eggplant parmesan cheese, veal piccata, shrimp and shrimp, chicken patties, meatballs and roast turkey.

The current address of The Green Tomato is 42 Reading Street, and the new address will be 24 Gould Street.Its website can be found at
