Minister of digital transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced on Wednesday the presentation of new Ukrainian drones that will soon reach the front. The equipment was purchased as part of a public fundraising initiative at the president’s initiative Volodymyr Zelensky.

Unmanned aerial vehicles were purchased under the program “Drone Army”. Fedorov said they were on their way to the front. The Unian agency announced that the first batch consists of 30 devices. Among them are machines from Poland.

Fedorov listed specific types of devices that will soon be used by Ukrainian soldiers. There is, for example, the DJI Matrice 300 – an inspection drone, equipped with a thermal imaging camera. It will allow the Ukrainian military to control the movements of Russians, comments Unian.

The next drones are FlyEye – Polish unmanned aerial vehicle produced by WB Electronics. It can stay in the air for four hours and years at speeds over 100 km / h.

The Ukrainian minister also mentions the name Warmate – is a Polish drone that can function as a reconnaissance or circulating ammunition that can carry out precise attacks on enemy positions. It was developed in cooperation with WB Electronics and the Military Institute of Armament Technology.

As part of the “Army of Drones” program, for which funds were collected on the United24 platform, over 750 million UAH was collected (about PLN 100 million – ed.). The first stage of the collection will end at the end of August – the aim of which was to buy 200 reconnaissance drones.
