my girlfriend is working from Angelo On Long Island, keep telling me about the hot salad they serve as a special menu. Sounds good and easy since I love everything they do in that restaurant. You sauté all the ingredients in a pan with balsamic and oil and add the mozzarella cheese at the end. All poured over your cold cut vegetables. Conclusion: I love it and it’s so easy to make!

How to Make a Warm Salad with Artichokes

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Sauté the red onion for a few minutes until softened.
  2. Add the artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, and capers, drizzle the mixture with the balsamic vinegar, and cook for a minute.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and add the mozzarella cheese.

  • 2 teaspoon Extra virgin olive oil, divided into
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted peppers
  • 4 artichoke hearts, canned, cut into quarters
  • 1 spoon capers
  • 1 1/2 spoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 ounce fresh diced mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup Chopped Lettuce Hearts
  • pinch salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon oil.

  • Add red onion and sauté until tender, 2 to 3 minutes, then add artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, and capers, drizzle balsamic vinegar over everything and toss, cook until heated through, about 1 minute.

  • Remove from heat and add mozzarella cheese.
