CRK is a priority for LIPAD that operates and maintains the airport. It is a consortium consisting of members such as Filinvest Development Corporation, JG Summit Holdings Inc., Philippine Airport Ground Support Services Inc., Changi Airports Philippines (I) Pte. and others. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Changi Airport International Limited.

The new terminal, due to open in May, promises to be Asia’s premier gateway, making the Philippines a contender in the aviation industry and generating billions of dollars in business for the country.

Mr. Paolo Santos, Commercial Manager of LIPAD, introduced the CRK master-planned aviation logistics complex to the WTTC guests.

Following the presentation, delegates toured the 110,000-square-meter terminal, which features state-of-the-art facilities, including universal self-service kiosks and self-service bag drop. These are part of the terminal’s digital operations and limiting close contact between passengers and airport staff.

Guests also learned about the terminal’s “smart” advanced visual docking guidance system, which allows pilots to use advanced laser technology to accurately and safely park their aircraft, even in adverse weather conditions. They also saw a few other features of the airport, such as 18 boarding bridges, dedicated OFW lounges, walkable commercial spaces, gender-neutral toilets, and elevators and escalators at each gate.

The event last weekend, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), showcased New Clark City and the Clark Freeport Zone as major investment and tourism destinations.
