It looks like a casual high-end restaurant chain known for beer selection may open a second branch in downtown Boston and will take over a sports bar in the hotel.
According to the Licensing Committee Hearing page, Yard House is seeking a license to operate in the so-called “pre-location” of the Boston Marriott Copley Square. The license comes from Beacon St. Locale, a Back Bay restaurant and bar, in 2018. If approved, Yard House’s new The location will be alongside other locations in Fenway, Burlington, Dedham and Lynnfield.
Champions temporarily closed during the pandemic, its last Facebook postal March 10, 2020, at the time of the coronavirus outbreak.
